Job Description
We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Office for Advancement of Learning and Teaching:
Visual Design Officer (ALTO)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Designing key visuals / backdrops for conferences and events;
- Developing cover designs and content layouts for internal magazines, programme leaflets, and brochures;
- Designing UX/UI, infographics, and illustrations for e-learning materials;
- Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of the Office for Advancement of Learning and Teaching and their nominees.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A recognized degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field;
- Proven experience as a senior/graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects;
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign);
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work;
- Knowledge of WordPress is a plus.
Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
