Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Manager (EVD) in identifying and developing new service opportunities for elderly volunteers that address societal needs and align with the HKRC’s Strategic Plan, empowering elderly volunteers to effectively serve the community.
- Lead a team in the development and management of project timelines, resources, and outcomes related to elderly volunteer development efforts, ensuring the maintenance of service quality.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers dedicated to elderly volunteer initiatives.
- Establish and nurture effective relationships with stakeholders, including various service teams, local community partners, and government departments, to promote services, foster collaboration, allocate resources, and drive development.
- Provide regular updates and reports to relevant parties on project progress, implementation challenges, emerging risks, issues, and recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
- Engage with the community to raise awareness of volunteer opportunities and advocate for initiatives involving elderly volunteers.
- Undertake ad hoc projects and fulfill any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s) to support organizational objectives.
Requirements:
- University degree holder in Social Work, Social Science, Gerontology, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience is required, preferably in a district service center or uniform group, showcasing proven abilities in volunteer management and project coordination. A minimum of 2 years of experience at a supervisory level is preferred for management proficiency.
- Passion for elderly services, maturity, self-motivation, strong sense of responsibility, independence, sound leadership skills, and ability to perform under pressure.
- Sound leadership, people management and coordination skills, with event & project management and problem-solving experience
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
- Proficiency in PC knowledge, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills and adept at social networking.
