Merchandiser (Sports Apparel)

What you'll be doing?

• Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, establishing long-term relationships and negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing for brand collections;
• Overseeing the overall samples process from 1st prototype to PPS;
• Continuously evaluating and improving procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and streamline workflows;
• Managing day-to-day production communication with manufacturing partners;
• Checking the fitting of the garments as per the measurement charts and follow the spec sheet;
• Rectifying the sewing defect and ensuring the accurate shape and design of the product as per the designer's requirements;
• Assisting in reviewing development timelines to support production schedules to meet delivery deadlines;
• Overseeing supplier performances, including quality, delivery, and responsiveness;
• Developing and enhancing standard operating procedures (SOPs);
• Working closely with design teams to follow through and advise during the development process from material and trims sourcing, sampling and fitting approval, costing negotiations to pre-production confirmations;
• Addressing and resolving quality-related issues promptly, coordinating with other departments to prevent reoccurrence.

Who are we looking for?

• A higher diploma/degree;
• Excellent command of English and Chinese;
• 3 years or more relevant experience in apparel & garment merchandising, preferably in sports apparels, outdoor outfits, and functional fabrics (Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Merchandiser.);
• International work experience or overseas brand merchandising experience is prefered;
• Have bag merchandising experience will be a plus;
• Possess effective business liaison skills between design teams and suppliers for problem resolutions;
• Need to work in Shenzhen Office, and frequently travel to other mainland cities for visiting suppliers.
