JOB SUMMARY:
At 1880 Social, you will be assisting Head of Membership for all aspects of membership including new member acquisition as well as continuing member engagement, including management of other floors.
Responsible for overall member relations excellence and managing the engagement of our members from onboarding new members to building our communities. You will sit within the membership team, working closely with the Events and Marketing & Communications teams.
A large focus of the role is to onboard new members and ensure they feel part of the community at 1880 Social. You will be required to build community groups and work with Events team for community led events, programming and initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but aren’t limited to:
Membership
· Respond to membership enquiries, conduct tours, and onboard new members.
· Respond to member requests for suspensions, terminations, and corporate transfers.
· Work with membership and finance team for additional member related matters such as renewals, disputes, suspensions, terminations, and finance related matters.
· Liaising with finance team for member related finance.
· Troubleshoot member issues from time to time
· Support Membership Director with member analysis, reports, and surveys
· Building reciprocity relationships with partners and introducing members to partners
· Manage highly sensitive membership data
· Continuing member engagement, understanding member needs and work with the team coming up with new concepts and ways to engage them.
· Attend events as a friendly face, helping to co-host and welcome members to programming calendar moments, and supporting the Event Programming team
· Obtain regular feedback from Members and take an active role dealing with complaints or problems that members raise around Club service, performance and delivery. Discuss these issues with operations colleagues for follow up.
· Assist the membership and event programming team with leads, introductions and personal connections to members who can help bring talent, performers, speakers and partners to the club.
Communities
· Create and manage communities for our members from fitness focused to literature loving groups. Work with the members to understand their passions to help drive the formation of these communities.
· Conceptualize, produce and manage community focused initiatives - Work with events and programming team and wider 1880 team.
· Ensure a wide and diverse range of communities and associated initiatives are considered.
· Ensure all events are organized and planned in time for deadlines and communicated appropriately.
· Business development of the working lounge – including basic business analytics
· Manage tenants ensuring they are happy and content with the environment and service
· Work with finance team for invoicing and financial reports
· Work with management team for any renovation related matters affecting the working lounge / club space.
REQUIREMENTS:
· A minimum of 4 years’ experience in membership / events / marketing / account management
· Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
· Strong team player
· Must be able to prioritize and multi-task
· Ability to work and maximize relationships within a diverse team
· Strong proficiency in organization, problem solving and communication
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and able to deal independently and maturely with uncertainty and challenges
· Able to implement and materialize programmes and concepts developed
