Senior Developer (Backend)

Senior Developer is responsible for developing the most appropriate and implemented Technology solutions with software development in line with the solution design, to meet customer needs, ensuring continuous improvement.

What you’ll be performing:

• Design and engineer software to fulfil functional and non-functional requirements as a key objective.
• Mentor of the developer on engineer software to fulfil functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work within a feature team to engineer software, scripts and tools to enable the delivery of products and services.
• Design, develop and deploy applications capable of meeting the anticipated load, performance, availability, security and resilience requirements.
• Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the product.
• Responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement.
• Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency.
• Be part of a team contributing to the improvement of System Architecture and delivery on a continuous basis.
• Diving into the unknown fields and R&D in our internal projects.
• Developing cloud-native solutions on AWS, Google Cloud and Azure.

What you should have:

• Minimum 2 years professional experience with Software Engineering related fields.
• Comfortable to develop in Kotlin/JVM or javascript (Babel stage 3) or TypeScript 4.0.
• Comfortable to write efficient SQL Queries for mission critical tasks.
• Experience in working multi-modules Maven/Gradle configurations, npm modules.
• Experience in making hard tradeoffs between important goals and complete with a realistic and sustainable solution.
• Able to discover, apply and establish best practices.
• Keen focus on code readability and incremental refactoring.
• Passion for self-improvement, a healthy appetite for learning and willingness to mentor.

Would be great if you were:

• Having Solution Architect certifications by AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
• Experience with GitHub Flow or GitLab Flow.
• Experience in various aspects of backend development like Scala, NodeJS, Go.
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis or ElasticSearch.
• Experience with gRPC or GraphQL.
• Experience with JVM Troubleshooting Tools (VisualVm), Benchmarking Tools (JMH), Load Generating Tools (JMeter).
• Experience with different Java productivity libraries like Guava, Lombok.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutine.
• Experience in UI Component crafting with any kind of framework.
• Having open source project contributions.
   

*More experience will be considered as Analyst Programmer or System Analyst.
