Senior Merchandiser (Electrical Appliances, Small Gastro)

Role Purpose:

Our Senior Merchandiser is responsible for leading a team to implement potential sourcing projects in co-operation with our global sales divisions.

What you’ll be handling: 

• In-charge of assortment management and product range development
• Manage sourcing, product development, price negotiation, and order fulfillment for selected product ranges
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure product quality, cost efficiency, production, and timely delivery
• Communicate actively with customers to understand their needs and expectations
• Analyze market and import share data to stay updated with business trends
• Advise buyers and suppliers on product requirements, market trends, and related economic and social issues
• Prepare and lead buying and sourcing trips
• Supervise, train and engage the team to carry out daily operations effectively

Experience, knowledge and skills required:

• Degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain Management / International Business or equivalent discipline
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in procurement, sourcing, and assortment building, with a focus on the European market
• Strong product knowledge in Commercial or Domestics Appliances
• Experience in sizeable multi-national buying office or manufacturing company is a definite advantage
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Mandarin
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel / PowerPoint / Word / Outlook / TEAMS)
