Senior Project Engineer/Project Engineer (Toys, 5 days)

Summary

The Project Engineer will lead new product development, provide technical support, and manage project documentation throughout the product lifecycle – from design to shipment. This role will play a key role in cost estimation, process optimization, and production efficiency improvement while ensuring product quality and compliance with design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee new item development, ensuring smooth execution from design stage to shipment completion.
• Provide technical support, including preparing and compiling necessary project documentation.
• Conduct cost estimation and quotation, identifying cost reduction opportunities and implementing efficiency improvements in production.
• Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of product design and manufacturing processes.
• Analyze estimated vs. actual manufacturing costs, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions to optimize cost management.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the consumer retail toy and/or premium industry.
• In-depth knowledge of toy safety regulations (EN71, ASTM) is mandatory.
• Strong project management skills with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Creative, passionate, and possesses a strong market and visual sense.
• Proficient in CAD for product design and development.
• Mature, responsible, and self-motivated, with a high level of reliability.
• Excellent communication skills, with high proficiency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
• Willing to travel to China and overseas as required.
• Candidates with more experience may be considered for the Senior Project Engineer role.
