Senior Technician / Technical Manager (Garment)

(1) Senior Technician (Garment)

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Manager in managing the team to issue tech pack, review fit and comments for the development and production samples
• Identify the actual fit issues, dig out the problems behind and provide concrete resolutions proactively to correct detective samples with factories
• Adjust or create the pattern whenever necessary
• Liaise internally with merchandising teams, to provide prompt advice and support in order to propose corrective actions

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Textile / Clothing or related discipline
• At least 10 years’ solid experience in garment trading field; experience in USA market is preferable
• Sound knowledge in garment sewing construction, pattern making, grading and fit adjustment
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin is a plus
• Computer knowledge in Word and Excel
• Strong interpersonal skills to communication across different levels of counter-parts

(2) Technical Manager (Garment)

Responsibilities:

• Act as a leader to take charge of the daily execution of sample fitting, construction and sample due date
• Be responsible for the entire process of sample fitting, sample adjustment, construction improvement according to sample development schedule
• Manage and coach the team to drive sample performance with vendors proactively - sample evaluation, sample follow up through which actual fit issues are identified; to dig out problems behind and provide concrete resolutions to correct detective samples with vendors effectively
• Provide necessary trainings to vendors in order to keep meeting US client’s requirements from time to time
• Liaise internally with merchandising teams, to provide prompt advice and support in order to propose corrective actions

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Textile / Clothing or related discipline
• At least 10 years’ solid experience in woven/knit/sweater items for both women’s and men’s wear; experience in USA market is preferable
• Sound knowledge in garment sewing construction, pattern making, grading and fit adjustment
• Strong leadership ability to lead and coach the team to ensure prompt and timely deliverables
• Strong interpersonal skills to communication across different levels of counter-parts
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin is a plus
• Computer knowledge in Word and Excel
• Strong multi-tasking ability and able to work independently
