Shipping Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage and handle all relevant multinational logistic documents, including but not limited to PO and bank documents, with accuracy and according to compliance.
• Manage and oversee the Import & Export operations of Logistics Department, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely execution between factories located in Shenzhen, Bangladesh, Mexico and Cambodia.
• Conduct data analysis on Logistics Costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving strategies.
• Supervise and provide guidance to the shipping staff in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Bangladesh, Mexico, and Cambodia ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
• Act as a key liaison between our factories and other departments, effectively communicating shipping-related updates and requirements.
• Conduct market research to identify new and innovative service providers, negotiating contracts to maximize cost savings and operational efficiency.
• Travels are required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Shipping Manager or in a similar managerial role within the shipping or logistics industry for more than 10 years.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Proactive and results-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in database management and analysis, utilizing data-driven insights to drive operational improvements.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, facilitating clear communication across different regions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and managing complexity.
• In-depth knowledge of shipping and logistics industry practices, regulations, and emerging trends.
