System Engineer / Server Engineer

Job Summary

The Server Engineer will be an integral member of IS Services Team, responsible for supporting and operating the IT infrastructure in accordance with company standards. This role involves participating in and deploying IT infrastructure projects across different locations, including documentation, regular maintenance of Data Center/Cloud Infrastructure, and monitoring system capacity, patching, and security compliance. The Server Engineer will collaborate with teams to provide support and manage IT infrastructure services, handle various supporting and troubleshooting roles, and manage external vendors for service support and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Windows server infrastructure to support business-critical applications and services.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of server infrastructure across diverse platforms, including VMware and AHV.
• Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate on server upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansions.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect server infrastructure from cyber threats.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience, especially in a Datacenter environment.
• Proven experience as a Server Engineer or Systems Administrator, with a focus on Linux-based, Windows-based environments or Cloud environments is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies and familiarity with cloud computing platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Preferred Qualifications:

• IT-related certificates (CCNA, LPI, RHCE, MCSE, NCP, VCP) are an advantage.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools, and Terraform are an advantage
