Business Analyst

We are seeking a Business (Operations) Analyst, preferably with experience in a retail/manufacturing environment. The role will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency across our business, identifying processes for improvement as well as providing analysis that supports inventory management and sales performance.  It will suit a critical thinker and a strong communicator, who has a talent for using data to create business insight.  The successful candidate will have experience and strength in project management and implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Business Process Improvement:  

• Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes to identify redundancies and opportunities for enhancement
• Analyse workflows across the business to pinpoint bottlenecks and recommend strategies to optimize efficiency.
• Compile data to recommend process improvements
• Track the impact of changes using key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as needed.
• Provide ongoing support and coaching to ensure teams are proficient in new processes and technologies.

Data Analytics:  

Build reports and dashboards to provide real-time insights into sales, operations, and inventory.

Use tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau to analyze complex datasets.

• Develop predictive models to support decision-making
• Use data to share business insights and recommendations

Inventory Management:  

Track stock levels and ensure optimal inventory to meet production and sales demands.

Identify and reduce dead stock through optimized inventory planning and clearance strategies.

Develop inventory control processes to minimize waste and reduce holding costs.

Project Management:  

Lead or participate in projects aimed at operational excellence and cost reduction.  This may include straightforward system implementations or projects that are more operational in nature

Manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations for improvement initiatives.

Facilitate regular communication with business stakeholders to comprehend their needs and opportunities, and keep them informed about project status, issues, risks, and threats.

Support project owners in implementing new solutions through effective change management, ensuring new solutions are integrated smoothly and efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field

3+ years of experience in business analysis or process reengineering, preferably in the retail or apparel industry

Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery

Strategic, analytical, and creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to influence and drive change

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while leveraging global team support.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and VBA programming.

Proficiency in PowerPoint, able to present ideas and concepts in powerful visuals

Strong communication skills with experience in managing cross-cultural relationships. English required, with Cantonese and Mandarin preferred

Proficiency in process mapping, optimization techniques, and agile methodologies is an advantage

Experience with ERP systems, supply chain management software, and reporting systems is a plus
