Job Description

AECOM is seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Analyst Programmer – GIS to support the development and enhancement of GIS applications and workflows. The successful candidate will work closely with system analysts, developers, and client-side teams to deliver robust and user-friendly GIS solutions. This role may require working on-site at client offices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain GIS applications for web and desktop environments.
• Implement data editing workflows, map production tools, and integration modules.
• Collaborate with system analysts and database architects to ensure functional alignment.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and performance tuning of GIS applications.
• Prepare technical documentation and user guides.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for deployed solutions

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, or related field.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in application development, preferably in GIS environments.

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and web development frameworks.
• Experience with Esri ArcGIS API, ArcPy, and related SDKs.
• Strong understanding of spatial data structures and GIS workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and Oracle Spatial.

• Familiarity with QGIS and open-source GIS tools.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese
