Engineering Manager

This position is suitable for a highly motivated individual, who has the aspiration to develop long term career in the field of engineering and maintenance. The incumbent should have got demonstrated proven industry experience, including solid E&M knowledge and leadership, project management and interpersonal skills.

Duties :

• Strategically lead and provide management control and support to an engineering team in handling day-to-day repair, maintenance and modification works in a safe, effective and efficient manner
• Set up an efficient, effective and reliable preventive maintenance programme for the plants, vehicles and equipment
• Manage and coordinate activities of the workshop and the engineering team to achieve the targets and objectives set
• Undertake efficient control on costs and maximize productivity
• Provide leadership and direction to improve equipment and plant performance and contribute towards overall profitability and safety of the business operations
• Undertake any tasks as assigned

What you will need for this role
The successful candidate will possess the following key skills and attributes:

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
• At least 8 years’ relevant working experience, of which 3 years in managerial role
• Good knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements
• Self-motivated, strong problem-solving capability with good sense of critical thinking and analytical mind
• Pleasant and outgoing personality with strong sense of responsibility
• Good presentation, communication and negotiation skills
• A good team player
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
