We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Facilities Management Office:

Assistant Facilities Officer (FMO) (Ref: 24002JT)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Providing routine facilities management services across all on-campus and off-campus premises, including teaching venues and public areas;
  • Monitoring contractor performance to ensure satisfactory facilities management services, including security, cleaning, car park management, and landscaping;
  • Handling venues booking requests from both internal and external users;
  • Liaising with various stakeholders to provide the event support services for university-wide functions;
  • Assisting in the procurement process and preparing reports related to administration and daily operations;
  • Handling, responding to, and investigating feedback and complaints related to facilities management services; and
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the Director of Facilities Management or their nominee.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A recognized certificate.
  • Relevant working experience preferable.
  • Ability to lead and manage contractors and handle a complex, varied workload.
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with knowledge of Putonghua preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic office software, including MS Office.

Candidates may be invited to participate in a trade or written test.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
