Business Development Manager

About the Role

We are looking for talent to join our School Sales Team who will be responsible for developing new busines areas which optimize growth, profitability and sustainability of the Company. This role network with various key stakeholders to identify key education priorities and strategize the Company's products and services offer as well as business model, to capture the new opportunities identified and increase the reach and impact of its products and services profitably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Head of Sales to strategize business development plan that grows market share and profitability of business beyond the current scope

• Develop and maintain a healthy relationship with strategic partners and sales channel that optimize sales opportunity and customer satisfaction

• Collect market information and conduct analysis that facilitates product & services development and strategic decision making

• Improve, innovate and explore new business models to capture new market opportunities and the changing needs of customers and partners

• Understand OUP's capabilities and offerings. Integrate existing resources and work with internal stakeholders across functions and countries to build transformational products, services and business models

• Work with key group functions including Legal, Compliance, Technology and Operations to build business case, conduct risk assessment and get management buy-in on the plan

• Work with sales team for the implementation of the plan to achieve sales and strategic objectives

About You

Essential:

• University degree in Business or related discipline

• At least 3 years of experience in Business Development or Project Management.

• Flexible and collaborative working style, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships

• Strong communication and organization ability

• Translating strategy into specific measurable objectives

• Strong critical thinking skills, with the flexibility to respond to changing situations, shifting priorities, and new opportunities

Desirable:

• Good knowledge and understanding of the education sector

• Fluent spoken and written English
