Job Description
Job Purpose:
This position as the Shop-in-Charge is to oversee the overall operation of Red Cross Shop aiming to promote humanitarian messages to supporters and perform the central procurement function of the Department (major product categories: uniform items, first aids products, souvenirs). He/she is responsible to formulate standard operation procedures for shop operation and procurement function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a small team to oversee daily operation of the Red Cross Shop including entire sales & procurement process, financial management, inventory & warehouse management, quality management and stakeholders relationship management.
- Formulate positioning, marketing and collaboration strategies of the Red Cross Shop, develop business plan and budgets in leading directions of the Shop.
- Formulate workflow, guidelines and operation manual to ensure operation efficiencies.
- Oversee and manage the POS and online shopping platform includes daily operation, database & reports management and system development.
- Prepare annual budgets, monthly reports, monitor sales and inventory records and set up operational contingency plan.
- Collaborate with NGOs / social enterprise, internal services units to implement new initiatives (such as marketplace, exhibition) to promote humanitarian messages to supporters.
Requirements:
- Recognized University degree holder in business stream, preferably in retail management/sales & marketing with minimum 5 years relevant experience, and at least 3 years at supervisory role in administering daily operation and management of shop
- Solid experience in procurement or marketing / retail industry / retail shop management / POS system management / warehouse management is required
- Knowledge and experience in NGO / social enterprise environment and volunteer management is definite an advantage
- Well organized, client-oriented, excellent communication and people management skills, independent, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
Contract Period: 2 years (Renewable)

Work Schedule: 44 hours / week by roster
Within Mondays to Saturdays from 9:30a.m.– 6:45pm (or Sunday/Public Holidays when required)
