Job Description
The Office Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the administrative functions within the school. This position involves managing incoming correspondence, maintaining office supplies, and supporting various office tasks while collaborating with staff across departments. The successful candidate will work Monday- Friday from 8 am to 12 noon.
What is required
- Ensue the printer in the admin office (LB) is in good order and that paper and toner is refilled.
- Assist with copying and scanning of school reports.
- Collect, open, date and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assist with external banking and post office deliveries, when required.
- Label textbooks and register them in the “Library System”, put textbooks and teaching aids into the storeroom and keep the stock in good order.
- Ensure that textbooks given out to students are returned if students move up to the next class or leave school, ensure that the respective entries are made in the appropriate system.
- Liaise with Accounts to collect monies from students for any unreturned, lost or damaged books.
- Provide Reception cover when the Receptionist is on leave or on break.
What we are looking for
- Middle school graduate.
- Good command of English and good command of Cantonese preferred.
- Office computer skills.
- Experience in working in a busy office environment.
