Who are we?
ALBA originates in Germany 50 years ago and aspires to turn the dream of a world without waste into reality. It has accumulated more than 20 years of recycling experiences in Asia. Since its entrance to Hong Kong over a decade ago, ALBA HK has been fostering a circular economy in the recycling industry and encouraging community participation in sustainability efforts.
In 2015, ALBA’s joint venture with IWS was appointed by the HKSAR Government to operate an integrated waste management facility for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in Hong Kong. In 2023, ALBA’s Smart City Circular Economy Solution was awarded the Pilot Scheme on Application of Reverse Vending Machines - Stage 3, and rolled out 120 RVMs across key locations in Hong Kong.
The Role
We are currently looking for a People & Culture Project Analyst to actualize the company's intentions to enhance our employee journey, as well as to elevate operational excellence of our People function (HR).
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager (department head), the People & Culture Project Analyst will be accountable for the following:
Delivery of people and culture initiatives (40%)
- Implement P&C initiatives stemming from HR business partnering cadences
- Conceive and propose tactics and/or action plans for employee engagement initiatives that meet the intended goals and approved budgets
- Deliver ad-hoc projects owned by P&C department (e.g. office renovation)
People process improvement and enhancement (40%)
- Research, analyze and propose ways to improve and innovate our people processes
- Vendor sourcing & comparison (e.g. medical insurance renewal, job boards or other recruitment channels, body check vendor, etc.)
People analytics (20%)
- Identify opportunities to optimize people data collection while ensuring compliance to confidentiality regulations
- Enable and facilitate more data-driven decision making process in the P&C function by delivering workflow or solutions that channel timely people data into our SOPs

- Excited about not getting stuck at your desk this person is expected to support stakeholders based in our plant in Lung Kwu Tan, office in Lai Chi Kwok, and logistics hub in Kwai Chung
- Fluent in Chinese and English (both spoken and written)
