Product Development Specialist (Bags/ Accessories/ Sports Equipment) - ARC'TERYX

We are seeking Product Development Specialist (few vacancies)to join Arc’teryx in Hong Kong Office.

As a Product Development Specialist, you are responsible for managing products from design approval through to production readiness, supporting our ability to deliver on time and providing an exceptional consumer experience.  Your innovative and solutions-focused approach to development and commercialization ensures that each product you work on meets Arc'teryx design intent, supply chain requirements and contributes to our ability to scale in a skilled capable manufacturing base.

Key responsibilities:

• Product Development and Commercialization: Oversee the transition from product creation to manufacturing, ensuring timely and complete delivery.
• Collaboration: Work with Product Creation Development, Design, and Supply Chain departments to achieve product design intent.
• Vendor Communication: Coordinate with global vendors and Arc'teryx's factory to communicate specifications and standards.
• Manufacturing Input: Provide input to improve scalability, efficiency, and quality in manufacturing.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Transform tech pack information into an accurate BOM database for efficient sourcing and production.
• Process Improvement: Identify gaps and opportunities, driving process improvements in collaboration with various departments.

Requirements:

• 3 years or above experience in Product Development (developing product/ process), preferably with a focus on accessories / sports equipment, e.g. Packs, Gloves, Hats, Socks, Gears etc.
• Experience in product costing and product lifecycle process
• Comprehensive knowledge of design intent, product aesthetics, construction, production and size fit
• Strong knowledge of raw materials, technical construction and sourcing
• Ability to travel offshore vendors accordingly to business needs
• Effective communication skills with both internal and external parties
• Pro-active problem solving, detail-oriented and organized person with strong interpersonal skills
