We are now looking for a dynamic and experienced Marketing Managerto join our team, direct reporting to the Marketing Director (Wyeth Nutrition). The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and accelerating market sales and market share of our Infant Milk Formula (IMF) and Nutritional Supplements. This role involves managing sales forecasting, business planning, brand imagery, communication strategies, and integrated marketing plans. The Marketing Manager will also lead a team, manage resources, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies.
Responsibilities:
(i) Business Objectives & Planning:
- Drive and accelerate in-market sales and market share of responsible portfolios at Wyeth Nutrition.
- Manage sales forecasting, business building blocks, risks, and opportunities in monthly business planning.
(ii) Brand Imagery & Communication:
- Oversee responsible brands, building strong brand equity through designing appealing product portfolios with differentiated propositions.
- Formulate brand communication strategies to reinforce brand imagery and strength.
- Translate product science messages into easy-to-understand, appealing, and compliant claims, creating effective messages to drive brand sales growth and brand building.
- Collaborate with SBU and Zone Greater China counterparts to align on total zone brand strategies and communication.
- Mobilize creative agencies to develop and conduct effective communication campaigns and messages, and conduct evaluations for continuous improvement.
- Lead the media agency for effective media planning and implementation.
(iii) Integrated Marketing Strategies and Plan Execution:
- Drive and strengthen the assigned brand's power and equity by formulating optimal total brand strategies, covering aspects of Digital, CRM, Trade Marketing, Medical Operations, etc.
- Organize and develop comprehensive marketing plans, including ATL, online communication, consumer engagement programs, and special events like Baby Expo.
- Develop pricing strategies for the designated portfolio.
- Work seamlessly with different commercial teams to drive winning total brand strategies in different channels.
(iv) Resources Management:
- Lead and plan yearly budgeting for the designated brands.
- Efficiently and effectively use the assigned budgets to drive sales and market share.
- Continuously explore ways to optimize spending and maximize its use.
(v) Talent Development & Leadership Across Boundaries:
- Lead, guide, and coach the team to support their daily work.
- Manage manpower resources and clearly define responsibilities within the team.
- Develop talents through daily coaching and professional skills training, develop career development plans for different team members, and conduct succession planning.
- Manage performance through PDP, brush up necessary skills for each individual to prepare them for the next step; support and train up team members in case of ability gaps.
- Lead the team and brand discussions involving other commercial teams/departments to plan and align activities for the brand; collaborate closely with the local team, ZGC, and SBU.
- Embed a culture of Trust, Respect, and Excellence.
(vi) Integrity and Compliance:
- Adhere to relevant codes, standards, policies, and standard operating procedures as well as regulations in accordance with local, regional, and corporate requirements.
- Attend regular meetings and training to ensure self and subordinates have good knowledge, skills, and understanding of company standards.
- Observe Nestle and Wyeth Nutrition policies and constantly ensure that Wyeth Nutrition values are lived in daily work.
Requirements:
- University graduate in Business Administration, Commerce, or Food Nutrition-related fields.
- Minimum of 12 years of solid marketing leadership experience in an FMCG multinational working environment.
- Proven experience in consumer marketing, brand and product management, and new product development (NPD) with a successful track record.
- Experience in Infant Milk Formula (IMF) will be a definite advantage.
- Strong team leadership exposure with P&L responsibility and experience in team management.
- Excellent interpersonal skill and strong stakeholder management across all levels
- Good experience in strategic planning, project management, and new product planning.
- Strong understanding of commercial and marketing operations in FMCG.
- Deep understanding of consumer profiles and strong business/ market analysis skills.
- Excellent financial understanding and knowledge of financial requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of business key functions and priorities.
- Fluent in spoken English and Cantonese, Mandarin is a plus. Strong bilingual writing skills.
- Digital savvy, good PC skills and tools
