The HKUST Business School is searching for a capable and dynamic individual to fill the position of Assistant Manager in the MSc Career Development Team. The appointee will support a wide range of corporate development initiatives and career events of the dedicated MSc Programs to strengthen our corporate relationship, enhance students' employability, and create more internship and graduate placement opportunities for our students and graduates.
Reporting to the Head of MSc Career Development, the appointee will focus on the following areas:
- Corporate and Employer Relations: Identify and develop new corporate partnership opportunities and maintain current recruiters’ relationship in mainland China and Hong Kong to provide job opportunities for students.
- Career Projects/Initiatives:Provide support on career and professional development projects, such as career fair; career trek; company visit; resume book; placement report; and maintenance of job boards and salesforce system, on both regular and ad-hoc bases.
- Career Training and Workshops: Assist the Head on the overall planning and design of career training and workshops for MSc students. The appointee needs to understand the needs of the various MSc Programs and be resourceful to identify relevant career development training matching our world class standing.
- Career Coaching:Keep abreast of students’ career aspirations and job search progress and be an effective facilitator to map suitable career opportunities for them.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience. Candidates with experience in B2B business development in mainland China, multinational talent acquisition or management, or a career with graduate programs are highly desirable. Strong business acumen and a proactive attitude are essential. The ideal candidates should possess excellent teamwork and communication skills with a strong command of written and spoken English. Fluency in Putonghua is required. Work outside normal office hours may be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
